Terms & Conditions

A general summary of our rental terms. Your signed rental agreement is the binding contract.

1. Rental agreement

These terms outline the general conditions of renting a vehicle from TOTAL Rent A Car. The full, binding agreement is the rental contract signed at the time of pickup, which takes precedence over this summary.

2. Eligibility

Renters must provide a valid Qatar ID or passport and a valid driving license (local or international). Minimum age requirements may apply and can vary by vehicle category.

3. Payment and deposit

An advance payment confirms your booking. A refundable security deposit, held in cash or on your credit card, is collected at pickup and released after the vehicle is returned in its original condition.

4. Vehicle use

Vehicles must be used lawfully and only by the named renter (or authorized additional drivers agreed in writing). Off-road use, subletting, or use outside Qatar requires prior written approval.

5. Fuel and mileage

Unless otherwise agreed, vehicles are provided with a set fuel level and should be returned with the same level. Any mileage limits and excess charges will be confirmed at the time of booking.

6. Maintenance and breakdowns

TOTAL Rent A Car handles routine maintenance for all fleet vehicles. Report any mechanical issue immediately via our 24/7 customer service line so we can arrange assistance or a replacement vehicle.

7. Insurance and damage

Rental agreements include standard coverage as detailed in your signed contract. The renter is responsible for damage, loss, or traffic violations incurred during the rental period, subject to the agreed deposit and insurance terms.

8. Cancellations

Cancellation terms depend on the rental duration and are confirmed with you before booking. Contact us as early as possible if your plans change.
